Privacy Policy — Avnee Technologies

Effective date: November 12, 2025

Avnee Technologies (“Avnee”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a platform and services that help micro and small enterprises record business activity, connect with partners, and build verified reputations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

We have written this policy in plain language. If you have questions after reading it, see the “Contact us” section below.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal and business information we collect when you:

  • Use Avnee web and mobile products and services.
  • Register for an account, verify identity (KYC), or create a business profile.
  • Interact with other users through the Avnee network (for example, sharing invoices or records).

It also describes how we handle information when we provide services to our partners and third-party integrators.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the services.

2.1 Account and identity information

  • Name, phone number, email address.
  • Government identifiers when required for verification, such as PAN or Aadhaar, or supporting documents (when you complete KYC).
  • Avnee ID: a unique identifier issued to verified users or businesses.

2.2 Business records and content

  • Business name, address, registration documents, employee records, invoices, purchase orders, receipts, payments, and other transactional records you create or upload.

2.3 Usage, device, and log data

  • Device identifiers, browser and operating system information, IP addresses, log files, and usage metrics (pages visited, actions taken, timestamps).

2.4 Location and payment data

  • Approximate location inferred from IP address and payment information needed to process subscriptions or purchases (payment card details are not stored by us if processed by a payment processor).

2.5 Cookies and similar technologies

  • Cookies, local storage, and similar tools to remember preferences, enable features, and analyze site usage. See the “Cookies” section for details.

2.6 Information from third parties

  • Information you give us via integrations or consented third-party services (for example banks, Account Aggregators, or analytics providers).

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Avnee services.
  • Verify identities and issue Avnee IDs when you complete KYC.
  • Enable sharing and secure collaboration between verified parties.
  • Generate reports, insights, and the Trust Score that help businesses build a verifiable reputation.
  • Process billing, payments, and customer support requests.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We only use sensitive identifiers (like Aadhaar or PAN) for verification and regulatory compliance and retain or process them as required by law.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires us to state legal bases (for example, the EU), we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide services you requested).
  • Compliance with legal obligations (for KYC and record-keeping).
  • Legitimate interests (fraud prevention, product improvement, security).
  • Consent (optional integrations or marketing communications where you opt-in).

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share information only as described below or with your consent.

5.1 With your consent

  • When you explicitly consent to share records, Avnee will share those records with the named recipient (for example, your CA, a supplier, or a lender).

5.2 Service providers and subprocessors

  • We share data with vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, identity verification, analytics). These parties are contractually bound to protect your information.

5.3 Legal, safety, and enforcement

  • We may disclose information to comply with laws, regulations, legal process, or in response to lawful requests by public authorities.

5.4 Business transfers

  • If Avnee is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer information as part of that transaction. We will notify users where required by law.

6. Data security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Measures include encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted backups, access controls, and audit logs.

No system can be 100% secure. If we discover a security incident that creates a real risk of harm, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.

7. Data retention

We retain personal and business data as long as it is necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations (including tax and KYC record-keeping laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize the data.

Specific retention periods may vary by data type and local law. If you have a request about retention for your account, contact us (see below).

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete or restrict processing of your data (subject to legal or contractual retention requirements).
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Port your data to another provider in a commonly used format.

To exercise these rights, log into your Avnee account or contact us using the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide and improve the service, remember preferences, and analyze usage. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may limit features and degrade your experience.

Avnee may link to third‑party websites or integrate with external services (for example payment processors, identity verifiers, or analytics providers). Those third parties have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies before providing information.

11. International transfers

Avnee operates in India and may transfer, store, and process data in other countries. When transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards required by law (for example, contracts or other legal frameworks) to protect your data.

12. Children

Our services are not directed to children under the age required by local law (typically 13 or 16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide more prominent notice.

14. Contact us
